Artist Statement

A year and a half ago, I set out on the journey of trying to master oil painting. It's always been a dream of mine that I've kept in the back of my mind to start when the time is right. After serving in the military and settling in Saratoga Springs, I dove in head first finding my moment. Whether it's an everyday scene or an Adirondack Mountain-filled landscape, I want to bring the same beauty and wonder that I experience to the viewer of my paintings. Any subject or scene could be conveyed differently through the eyes of the person viewing it. I would like to convey and explain that beauty visually in my work. A lot of what I paint is of local scenes right here in New York and the neighboring states, all found through kayaking, hiking, and exploring this wonderful area. Thank you for your curiosity.
