Artist Statement
Jess Keller is a photographer located in the Glens Falls, NY area. She has been taking photos since getting her first Canon DSLR camera at 13 years old. She now shoots utilizing both digital and film mediums, using equipment such as the Canon 6D, Yashica 124G, and Nikon FM10. Throughout college, she worked in her school’s darkroom as a student teaching aide & manager of the film photography department. Currently, she spends her time selling her photography both online and at local events such as markets, craft shows, and art fairs.
In her work as a photographer, she is inspired by the fleeting moments of nature that, though brief, define the essence of our world. Her focus lies in documenting the intricate line between nature and human experiences. Whether through the lens of a digital camera or a grain of film, she seeks to capture transient moments that occur within a fraction of a second. Inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, they are moments that, once passed, can never be replicated or fully grasped again. Each image acts as a window into the often overlooked details that shape our existence. Through her photography, she invites you to pause, reflect, and savor the fragments of time that might otherwise slip away unnoticed.
