Add an Artist Mini-Grants

Add-an-Artist Mini-Grants are $1,000 each and encourage artists to bring their work to the public. Whether it be a park, a patio, a gallery, or a restaurant, these mini-grants are specifically designed to enable creatives to share their art with their community. Individual artists are encouraged to apply, as well as non-profits looking to augment their programming by "Adding an Artist"! These mini-grants will prioritize funding artist fees, and creative methods of audience engagement. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis this fall until available funding is exhausted.

2025 REGRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2024

APPLICATION DEADLINE NOVEMBER 22ND, 2024

Community Art Regrants

ABOUT:

For decades, Saratoga Arts has been proud to serve this region as a New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Statewide Community Regrant (SCR) site, formerly "Decentralization". Over $1.3 million in funding has been distributed to arts projects in FultonMontgomery and Saratoga Counties through our program. We accept applications in the fall of each year for projects designed for the following year.
Saratoga Arts offers three separate grant categories each year; Community Arts Grants, Arts Education Grants, and Individual Artist Grants. Each funding category has an individual set of guidelines, funding priorities, and applications. All funding decisions for our grant applications are determined by a panel of community artists and individuals with strong ties to the local arts community.

Community Arts Grant

Community Arts Grants fund projects that are open to the community they serve and allow the citizens of that community to interact directly with art. Applicants  for Community Arts Grants can apply in the amounts of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000 to execute their project. Projects must be accessible to all and creatively connect community and art.

Arts Education Grant

Arts Education projects focus on educating a closed group of learners, in one of two categories: either through In-School projects or through Community-Based projects. Applicants for an Arts Education Grant can apply in amounts of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000. These projects must consist of “hands-on” learning in at least 3 separate sessions to ensure that learners of all ages are exposed to art in new ways.

Individual Artist Grants

Individual Artists Grants are intended for projects that center on the professional growth of an artist. Applicants for an Individual Artist Grant can apply in the amounts of $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000. These funds can be used for projects of a sole artist or a lead artist in a collaborative art form. While the community doesn’t have to directly participate in the creation of the project, the project must be presented to the public or be otherwise made available to the public.
