Artist Statement

Deb’s early years were highly influenced by her family history of farming and carpentry in the Saint Lawrence River Valley. As a teen, summers were spent in Lake Orion, Michigan with her grandmother, Isabelle Cogger, an artist and fine art teacher.

Deb is an amateur artist who is self taught. Deb works in acrylics and oils, She enjoys painting landscapes, still life with gardening and nature themes, and portraits.

Deb lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband, Gerry. She recently retired from a career in occupational therapy. Beyond art, Deb also enjoys growing and canning vegetables, growing and drying herbs, canoeing, and traveling.
