Who doesn’t love a mischievous gnome; especially one that you’ve created with your own hands?
In this class students will learn the art of whittling. Dating back to ancient times when it was used to create functional tools, the skill evolved into a beloved sculptural folk art that peaked in the United States around 1865.
In this class each student will learn the basics of whittling and artistic expression, and go home with a good luck pocket gnome of their own creation.
Wood, materials and a whittling knife are included. All skill levels welcome.
