Introduction to Abstract Painting

Paint up a storm! This is abstract painting for beginners ready to make the leap and start painting. We will demystify media, surfaces, materials, and techniques and discover the joys of moving paint. Students will try expressionistic, improvisational, hard-edged, minimal, maximal, and geometric styles. We will contrast intuitive and planned approaches while learning about color and composition. No experience is required.
