Our Art Tours are arranged by supporters and partners Edventures. All travelers will receive a free one-year membership to Saratoga Arts; travelers who are already members will receive a free membership renewal.

Pushing the Limits Productions Presents:
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Saturdays, July 18th & July 25th at 7pm
at The Arts Center

An eclectic group of six-graders arrives at the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, each eager to win for very different reasons. In hilarious, touching, and catchy songs, each speller reveals his/her hopes, struggles, and passions as they make their way through the competition. With an engaging, tuneful score by William Finn and a sweet, funny book by Rachel Sheinkin, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee causes audiences to fall in love, both with the show itself and its “perspicacious,” “jocular,” and “effervescent” spellers.

Art In The Park

FREE ADMISSION - Every year, Art in the Park draws thousands of visitors to beautiful Congress Park for a day of fine art, food, music, dance (by Nacre Dance Company) and family activities in our Kids’ Art Zone. This community event showcases the work of artists, presenting their original drawings, paintings, ceramics, fine handcrafted jewelry, mixed media works, sculpture, photography, and fiber art work.

Join us as we celebrate the work of over 100 artists from around the region! In honor of the City of Saratoga Springs’ Centennial celebration, Saratoga Arts is presenting an exhibit featuring hundreds of 10 x 10 paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber works, and sculpture by regional artists. Our exhibition sponsor, Druthers Brewing Company, will be generously providing their wonderful food and craft beer!

Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the TONY Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. Based loosely on Puccini’s La Boheme, Jonathan Larson’s Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/ AIDS. Directed by: JJ Buechner, Musical Director: Carol Hawks, Choreographer: Vivian Hwang.
